The TikTok viral Sleepy Girl Mocktail is what you need to drink for a restful sleep. Three easy simple ingredients (tart cherry juice, magnesium powder and sparkling water) will lead to the best sleep of your life.

I’ll admit that I’m not a huge drinker (of course, I love my Cranberry Margaritas, Cheladas, Honey Deuce Cocktail, on occasion). But for the most part I stick to water…and my coffee and iced matcha lattes. When I need a drink to calm me down, I have been on a Sleep Girl Mocktail kick and let me tell you, IT WORKS!

Ingredients You’ll Need for a Sleepy Girl Mocktail

Ingredients You Need For Sleepy Girl Mocktail.
  1. Magnesium Powder. I love the cherry flavor from Erewhon. I’ve also used this magnesium Powder from Moon Juice and it’s delicious.
  2. Cherry Juice. I use a 100% cherry juice that is tart and delicious. No additives and not from concentrate.
  3. Sparkling Water. This adds a nice fizz and effervescent quality to the mocktail.

For the exact measurements, please see the recipe index card below!

How to Make a Sleepy Girl Mocktail

  1. Add the magnesium powder and cherry juice to a glass.
  2. Mix it vigorously until the magnesium powder has dissolved. It should take around thirty seconds.
  3. Add in the ice.
  4. Top it with sparkling water. That’s it – so easy!

Recipe Tip

  • Use a Pre-Biotic Soda – I really love Poppi. Use one of their sodas in place of soda water for additional benefits.
  • Other uses for magnesium powder – You can mix it into water, if you want to skip the entire cherry juice.
  • Other juices to use: Cranberry juice, pineapple juice, apple juice would all be delicious replacements for cherry juice.
  • Favorite Magnesium Powders: I love the one from the Erewhon Brand and the one from Moon Juice.

Recipe FAQs

How long does the Sleepy Girl Mocktail take to work?

I like to drink it one hour before I want to fall asleep.

Does the Sleepy Girl Mocktail actually work?

I think so! Magnesium is a mineral that is present in many foods and it helps with nerves, muscle function and regulates blood pressure. It has calming qualities that facilitate more peaceful, restorative sleep.

What is your favorite type of magnesium powder?

I love the cherry flavor from Erewhon. I also love this Berry flavored one from Moon Juice. The Erewhon brand’s magnesium is very frothy which makes it taste almost creamy.
