Homemade Almond Butter Recipe
This homemade almond butter is a surprisingly easy alternative to the store-bought option. You know exactly what the ingredients are and all it takes is a few minutes and a food processor.
- 2 cups almonds
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Add the almonds and salt to the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process for 8-10 minutes, until smooth and creamy, scraping down the bowl every minute or so to make sure everything is evenly blended.
Add the almond butter to a jar with a tight fitting lid and store in the refrigerator.
Tips: Play around with flavors and sweeteners, add cinnamon or vanilla bean paste and a touch of brown sugar or honey if you like your almond butter a little sweeter.
