Homemade Almond Butter Recipe

This homemade almond butter is a surprisingly easy alternative to the store-bought option. You know exactly what the ingredients are and all it takes is a few minutes and a food processor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almonds
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Add the almonds and salt to the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process for 8-10 minutes, until smooth and creamy, scraping down the bowl every minute or so to make sure everything is evenly blended.
  • Add the almond butter to a jar with a tight fitting lid and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Tips: Play around with flavors and sweeteners, add cinnamon or vanilla bean paste and a touch of brown sugar or honey if you like your almond butter a little sweeter.
