Baileys Hot Chocolate with Snowmen Marshmallows

This warm cup of Baileys Hot Chocolate is the perfect amount of chocolate and decadence. Pair it with these super cute snowmen marshmallows that are super easy to execute.
Servings: 4

Ingredients

Marshmallows:

  • Waxed , unflavored dental floss
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar , sifted onto small plate
  • 1 ounce bittersweet chocolate , melted
  • 1 ounce candy melts , melted

Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups full-fat oat milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate , discs (wafers) or chopped
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • 6 ounces Baileys Original Irish Cream

Instructions

To Shape the Marshmallows:

  • To create your snowmen, start by cutting each marshmallow into thirds using a piece of waxed, unflavored dental floss. To slice with the floss simply shimmy it under the marshmallow and gently pull it up on both sides to wrap it around the marshmallow then pull it tightly in opposite directions for a clean cut.
  • Once all the marshmallows have been cut into thirds, toss the cut sides in the powdered sugar and shake off any excess. This gets rid of the stickiness. Put the melted bittersweet chocolate and the melted orange candy melts into two small piping bags or Ziploc bags and snip off a tiny tip on each bag.
  • Pipe on the eyes and mouths of the snowmen with the melted bittersweet chocolate and the noses with the candy melts. Set aside.

To Make the Baileys Hot Chocolate:

  • To a medium saucepan, placed over medium-low heat, pour in the milk, sugar, chocolate, and salt. Whisk and heat until the chocolate is has melted and is well incorporated. Remove from the heat and whisk in the baileys. Divide between 4 mugs and top with marshmallow snowmen.
