Cheese Plate Action for One


When I’m sleeping and exhausted yet need dinner, I have two realistic go-top options: a bowl of cereal or a cheese plate. There’s nothing fancy or elaborate about the personal cheese plates I put together. I usually include one type of cheese, and pair it with an assortment of near dying fruits or vegetable from the fridge, and nuts from my pantry.     I love cheese plates… When I’m serving cheese plates, I feel so grown up… Fruit, cheese, crackers and nuts are truly amazing together! I like that Brie plate you prepared in the other post!

    Yum – I tend to do this sometimes for dinner too except it involves an avocado or something creamy to compliment a harder cheese (and definitely lots of vinegar!). Loving the touch of Bourbon.

    Yep, you are totally made for France. Lunch there almost always consists of baguette, salami, & cheese! I love adding olives!

    I just had my version of this last night around 9 pm. Too late for dinner, but still hungry. A hunk of sheep’s milk feta, 6 calamata olives, Mary’s Gone Crackers Black Pepper Rice Crackers, and 4 homemade okra pickles. A glass of reisling. I like your’s too…

    Near dying fruit, ha! Love it πŸ™‚ I like doing the cheese plate for Sunday night dinner. It looks fancy, but I’m really cleaning out the fridge/pantry. Must add bourbon!

    Very cute! I will always take the cheese plate over dessert for sure! And love radishes — perfect crisp and crunch to accompany anything creamy.

    (i’m not exaggerating, really! after a day this stressful there seems to be no better way – or no other way, really – to end the day other than with cheese).

    This is also my go-to snack for surprise guests. A couple of Sundays ago, after dim sum, everyone came to my house for spontaneous drinks. Two hours later, rooting through the fridge: cheese, crackers, sliced granny smith apple, almonds & dark chocolate chips. Fantastic! Guests are always amazed that I can produce snacks from an empty fridge.
